New house pictures
Finally got some more decorating done this weekend before our big party. Looks good if I do say so myself. =) All kidding aside, I'm loving my new house and know that I am blessed.
Here are some pictures of the girls shelves in their rooms. Al's dad made them and I painted them. They were so excited to finally get them on the wall. Only took me a couple months to finally get them painted. Still looking for some small little decorations to put in the shelves, but that will come with time.
Also a picture of my entry way table that Al's dad made. I think it might be one of my favorite pieces he's ever done....right after the changing tables. I love it and it's come out exactly how I had it envisioned in my head.
Kitchen is done too, finally got my rooster picture and shelf hung in the dining room. There will eventually be a large fish tank underneath that but that's a couple months in the making I think. (I'm actually hoping the idea gets forgotten, but if it doesn't it will all work outalright and the kids are gonna love it.)
And check out my new triple crock pot!!! A housewarming gift from my boss and coworker. It's AWESOME!!!! Comes in very handy for the parties!!

Fireworks
Al bought some fireworks to do at the house for the girls. I told him I was having no part of it. But I guess I did, since I took pictures. They did like them, but we did learn that one family fun pak is PLENTY!! Made a huges mess on the driveway, that somehow became my job to clean up....still not understanding that one.
For the 4th we had made big plans to go downtown and set up for the fireworks. John, Angela, and the kids would be joining us. So I baked cookies, brownies, packed a cooler with juice boxes and water. Got a blanket, chairs....the whole shebang. And of course as my luck would have it it starts to storm. We hoped for the best and prayed the rain would end in time for fireworks. Loaded up and headed downtown. It lightened up a little then started to rain really hard. I was so worried the fireworks would be rained out and didn't know how I was going to explain that to a 5 and 3 year old. So it was so wet and rainy, we didn't get to have a picnic. So we put Rylee in our car with the girls to watch a movie and had our own indoor picnic....passing the cookie bucket from car to car. As soon as the fireworks started, we unloaded and headed to the back of the car where we could stand under the car opening of the Armada. Some had to use an umbrella and Nicholas...just stood in the rain! As soon as the grand finale had gone off we all realized....it had stopped raining. So we had a soggy fireworks show that Rylee informed her mom she "did it all for her birthday, hope you like it." And we all did; except Ashlee. She didn't like it but she didn't cry this year!!! That was the important party.
4th of July parades
On Thursday we had a 4th of July parade at school. Each class came up with their own decoration/noisemaker idea and we marched around the school (twice) for all the parents who wanted to come watch. The girls had lots of fun dressing up and having their faces painted for the parade.
Then on Saturday we went to a real parade. Rylee, Nicholas and Angelas met us there. We had a good time, but apparently none of them are parade lovers like me.....they lost intereste unless it was a horse or clown!

Tatoos!!!!
All the kids lined up to choose their tattoos. An easy choice for the girls; horse, dalmation, Nemo. Nicholas had a hard time picking since we don't do skulls and snakes and such!!! He finally resorted to the old standby Bulldog!!
They all loved it and loved showing everyone their tatoos for the evening.
FANDANGLE
Last weekend we headed to Albany America for The Ft. Griffin Fandangle. Otherwise known as the Horsey Show!!!
All the kids got to pet the big Mule and loved it, except Rylee said he was stinky! We had a rough tractor ride to the gate and blew a tire at the top of the hill, (yes this has put me on a diet now). All the horses, the snake, and the bar fight were the faves of the night!
All the kids had a GREAT time, even though 2 of them fell asleep before it was over. (It is a late show). And even though it was INCREDIBLY hot. If you ever get a chance to go, Go. It's cheesy but it's a fun weekend event!
We had a great weekend just hanging out and letting the kids play. LOTS of fun!
